Nils-Peter Fischer, Dipl.-Ing.

Nils joined Zaha Hadid Architects in 2004 and has developed a large design portfolio spanning Europe, the Middle East and Asia, with a focus on cultural facilities such as Performing Arts Facilities and Museums as well as projects involving novelty design, engineering and construction solutions. In recent years, he has been working on complex high-rise structures.
Nils co-leads Cluster 1, a business unit within Zaha Hadid Architects focusing on large cultural, infrastructure and transportation projects.

Nils has an academic background in experimental computational geometry. He studied in Germany and Italy and graduated from the Technische Universitaet Darmstadt, Germany with a degree in architecture in 2002.
At Zaha Hadid Architects, he co-founded the computational design research group CODE, developing next-generation technologies for contextual design, form finding and rationalization, and exploring the potential of computational design from object to urban scale environments. Beyond in-house research, the CODE group engages in academic workshops and research partnerships with universities around the world.

Nils has worked on a range of projects for ZHA, including the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum in Michigan/ USA, the Dubai Opera House and Cultural Centre in Dubai, the Abu Dhabi Performing Arts Centre and the Nanjing Youth international center, a mixed-use development featuring a 315m twin tower. He is also responsible for the Grand Theatre de Rabat currently under construction in the Kingdom of Morocco. A recent research focus are “post-automotive cities“, exploring walkable high density urban environments both inexisting and future metropolises.

The keynote lecture closed the July Event session at the 2018 Festival.

Nils ju bashkua Zaha Hadid Architects në 2004 dhe ka zhvilluar një portofol të gjërë të dizajnit që përfshin Evropën, Lindjen e Mesme dhe Azinë, me një fokus në objektet kulturore si Objekte për Artet performative, Muze, si dhe projekte që përfshijnë dizajn të ri, inxhinieri dhe zgjidhje ndërtimi inovative. Në vitet e fundit, ai ka punuar në strukturat komplekse të ndërtesave të larta.  Nils bashkë-drejton Cluster 1, një njësi biznesi brenda Zaha Hadid Architects duke u fokusuar në projekte të mëdha kulturore, infrastrukturore dhe transportuese.

Nils ka një sfond akademik në gjeometri eksperimentale kompjuterike. Ka studiuar në Gjermani dhe Itali dhe në vitin 2002, ka diplomuar në degën e arkitekturës nga Technische Universitaet Darmstadt, Gjermani.  Në Zaha Hadid Architects, ai bashkë-themeloi grupin kërkimor të dizajnit kompjuterik CODE, duke zhvilluar teknologjitë e gjeneratës së ardhshme për dizajnin kontekstual, gjetjen e formës dhe racionalizimin, dhe duke eksploruar potencialin e dizajnit kompjuterik nga objektet në mjediset në shkallë urbane. Përtej hulumtimeve brenda vendit, grupi CODE angazhohet në punëtori akademike dhe partneritete kërkimore me universitetet në mbarë botën.

Ligjerata e Nils-it përmbylli sesionin e aktiviteteve të muajit Korrik në Festivalin e 2018-tës.
