Víctor Cano Ciborro (1987) is an Architect (2012) -Visiting Scholar in 2009 at CEPT University in Ahmedabad (India)- and Master in Advanced Architectural Projects (2013) by The Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid – ETSAM (UPM). Since 2014 he is a PhD Candidate at DPA-ETSAM where currently developed his PhD Dissertation about cartographies of overlooked spatial practices focused on body‘s sensations.
From 2012 to 2016 he has been Assistant Teacher in ETSAM taking part in grade, final master thesis and postgraduates’ academic programs. In 2015 he was Tutor of Unit 6 at the Summer School 2015 of the Architectural Association –AA- in London. Unit 6 established an installation so-called ‘Peepshow London’ as a way to critique stable forms in architecture and to reclaim concepts such as affects, atmospheres, bodies or instability in the architectural production. In 2016 he was Visiting Lecturer at Valparaíso University and Universidad Central in Santiago de Chile (Chile), and in 2017 has been Tutor in the International Workshop ‘Mystetskyi Arsenal: Spatial Development Scenarios’ in Kiev (Ukraine).
Currently, he is CEO/Research Project Director and founding partner of ‘Arquitectura Subalterna’, a radical spatialities group that promotes a transdisciplinary and sensitive architectural approach to post-colonial and post-war landscapes to foster ignored identities and aesthetics. Arquitectura Subalterna has been internationally recognised in Oslo Architecture Triennale 2016, Venice Biennale 2016: Reporting from the front, where won the First Prize of the ‘Unfinished’ competition curated by Spanish Pavilion, or Future Architecture Platform 2017, where Víctor was Lecturer at MAO –Museum of Architecture and Design- in Ljubljana (Slovenia).

Aktualisht, është drejtor i projektit hulumtues dhe partner themelues i ‘Arquitectura Subalterna’, një grup radikal i hapësirës që promovon një qasje arkitektonike transdisiplinare dhe që I kushton rëndësi të madhe peizazheve pas koloniale dhe pas luftës për të nxitur identitetet dhe estetikën e injoruar. Arquitectura Subalterna ka qenë e akredituar ndërkombëtarisht në Oslo Architecture Triennale 2016, Bienalja e Venecias 2016 “Reporting from the Front”, fitoi çmimin e parë të konkursit “Unfinished” të kuruar nga Pavilioni Spanjoll si dhe ishte njeri prej fituesve te thirrjes për ide kreative të Platformës Future Architecture 2017.
Merve Bedir is an architect. She is the partner of Rotterdam I Istanbul based Land+Civilization Compositions (L+CC) and a PhD candidate in Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture. Merve’s work focuses on a diversity of topics from urban transformation to displacement, migration, and common(s). She was a freelance curator for the Netherlands Architecture Institute (2012); the curator of Vocabulary of Hospitality (Studio X, Istanbul, 2015); and One Architecture Week (Plovdiv, 2015) under the title uncommon river. Merve is currently facilitating a kitchen and garden initiative by local and migrant women in Gaziantep, Turkey. She has published in One World (Dutch), Interartive, Volume, MONU, SRO (Dutch), Docomomo, Zivot (Croatian) and Quaderns. Merve occasionally blogs for uncube, Cairobserver and Failed Architecture. Her book with the title Vocabulary of Hospitality will be published by a collaboration of dpr-Barcelona and GSAPP Books.
Merve Bedir and Jason Hilgefort of L+CC, were the directors of Aformal Academy, a part of the education program of Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture Biennale, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. L+CC’s collaborations include Archis (Amsterdam), Dpr-Barcelona (Spain), Berlin Architecture Center (DAZ), African Center for Cities (Cape Town) and International New Town Institute (INTI), Hungarian Architecture Center (KEK), ZigZagCity (Rotterdam), EPFL, Cairo, Lusofna, Cottbus, Columbia Universities. L+CC won Europan 2012 in Vienna, and shared the third prize with Turenscape in Moscow’s Sokolniki Park competition.

Dimitris graduated from the School of Architecture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2014) and continued his studies doing an MA in Landscape & Urbanism in Kingston University London (2016). He is a graffiti artist but also explores various art forms from sketching to 3D installations. Within the last few years, he had participated in numerous workshops, exhibitions and competitions projects that have been awarded. During his studies, he enriched his architectural approach through the activity of urban exploration, discovering the various conceptions of abandoned spaces and modern ruins. The phenomenon of urban decay constitutes the heart of his ongoing research, which has been published and exhibited in numerous occasions (Greek Pavilion of Venice Architecture Biennale 2016, Think-Space Unconference-Zagreb 2013, etc.). He is founder and editor-in-chief of archstudies.gr platform (2011), through which has curated lectures, competitions and architectural exhibitions in Greece along with the other team members. He is currently based in London.
Fani is an architect and urban designer. She studied architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and holds a MAS in Urban Design from ETH Zürich and a MRes in Spatial Design: Architecture & Cities from The Bartlett, UCL London. Her design work has featured in publications such as “Minha Casa, Nossa Cidade: Innovating Mass Housing for Social Change in Brazil” (Ruby Press, 2014) and group exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York (2014-15), Columbia GSAPP’s Studio-X in Rio (2013), Museu de Arte do Rio (2014), X São Paulo Biennale (2013) and XV Venice Architecture Biennale (2016) among others. Recently and as part of her studio teaching, she has co-edited two publications on “E-merging Design Research” (The Bartlett 2015, 2017). Currently, Fani is an EPSRC funded doctoral student at The Bartlett School of Architecture, Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), and Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at The Bartlett School of Architecture, and Development Planning Unit, UCL. In April 2017, she joined the MIT Department of Architecture and Computation as a visiting PhD student.

Fenomeni i prishjes urbane përbën zemrën e hulumtimit të tij të vazhdueshëm, i cili është botuar dhe ekspozuar në shumë raste (Pavijoni Grek i Bienalit të Arkitekturës së Venedikut 2016, Think-Space Unconference-Zagreb 2013, etj.). Bika Rebek is an architect practicing within heterogeneous formats- as an integral part of her work writing, research and installations act as catalysts for open ended thinking about architectural production.
She is a partner at the New York City- based practice SibilaSoon, with projects underway in the United States, Austria and Malaysia. Rebek is also an adjunct professor at Columbia University and a resident at New Inc, the first museum-led incubator.
In the past she has worked as an architectural designer for a number of offices internationally, and most recently as an exhibition designer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Rebek holds an magistra architecturae from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and a master of science in curatorial studies in architecture from Columbia University.

Gokhan Avcioglu Born in Ankara, Turkey in 1961. Gokhan Avcioglu completed his education in KSU/BA in Architecture. He is the principal and founder of GAD in Istanbul, established in 1994.
Among his projects are office buildings, public spaces, commercial spaces and residences in Istanbul, Bodrum, New Jersey, Washington DC, Virginia and Connecticut. Among his most recent Award Winning projects are AKH KNDU Villas, KUUM Hotel and Residences, Pinar Logistics Centre, Divan Kurucesme and Trump Cadde. He has won numerous awards, including the 1997 Turkish Architecture Prize, a Bronze Medal in Miami Bienal in 2003, Archmarathon Award in 2014, German Iconic Awards in 2014, Chicago Athenaeum Green Good Design Award in 2015, 2014 and 2012, MIPIM AR Future Awards in 2017, 2013 and 2012, and International Property Awards in 2013,2014 and 2015. A number of his projects have been nominated for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture.
Gokhan Avcioglu and GAD’s projects have been exhibited at Galerist Istanbul, the Minima Art gallery in Philadelphia, Miami Bienal, the Musuem of Architecture in Rotterdam, and at the Royal Art Academy in London.
In 2014 Gokhan established the foundation GADFOUNDATION (Gadev) which aims to promote Turkish architects and art production, informing people about architecture in addition to assisting students with various types of support to ensure excellent achievement in their education. He is continuously working towards this outcome in addition to projects for his foundation including an emphasis on various social aspects of architecture.

Joni Baboci is an architect, planner and urban enthusiast. He currently working as the General Director of Planning and Urban Development at the Municipality of Tirana. His previous experiences include stints in the private sector, a number of successful international architecture competition results as well as a multi-year experience leading a groundbreaking start-up for the Albanian Government nicknamed Atelier Albania. He has meddled with planning and development at different scales working on the national plan for Albania, the regional plan for the coast of the country, and the regional plan for the economic generator that is the Tirana-Durres region. His work at Atelier Albania culminated with the preparation of the ‘Metabolism of Albania’ – a book on alternative planning methods published by the Government of Albania in collaboration with the TU Delft, .FABRIC, IABR, and 51N4E. His current responsibilities at the Municipality of Tirana are about dealing with the surprises, urgencies and expectations of a bustling a vibrant capital in the center of the Balkans. Collaborative creative processes, alternative planning methodologies and quick and practical fixes would best describe his daily duties; but dealing with administrative bureaucracy, piles of paperwork, building permitting and institutional collaboration, often gets in the way. He is extremely passionate about architecture and planning and is currently focused on understanding resilience as a major factor in urban redevelopment while employing more sustainable, implementable and functional planning methodologies.

Joni Baboci është një arkitekt, planifikues dhe urbanist entuziast. Aktualisht punon si Drejtor i Përgjithshëm për Planifikim dhe Zhvillim Urban në Bashkinë e Tiranës. Përvoja e tij e mëparshme shtrihet nga sektori privat në një numër të madh të konkurseve ndërkombëtare për arkitekturë me rezultate të suksesshme, e gjithashtu përfshinë edhe një përvojë disa vjeçare në krye të Atelier Albania, një projekt shumë i rëndësishëm për Qeverinë e Shqipërisë.
Ai është marrë me planifikimin dhe zhvillimin e planit kombëtar të Shqipërisë në shkallë të ndryshme, , me planin rajonal për bregdetin e vendit dhe me planin rajonal për gjenerimin ekonomik, përkatësisht rajonin Tiranë-Durrës. Puna e tij në Atelier Albania kulmoi me përgatitjen e “Metabolizmit të Shqipërisë” – një libër mbi metodat alternative të planifikimit, i publikuar nga Qeveria e Shqipërisë në bashkëpunim me TU Delft, .FABRIC, IABR dhe 51N4E. Përgjegjësitë e tij aktuale në Bashkinë e Tiranës kanë të bëjnë me befasitë, urgjencat dhe pritshmëritë e një kryeqyteti plot gjallëri në qendër të Ballkanit. Proceset bashkëpunuese kreative, metodologjitë alternative të planifikimit dhe zgjidhjet e shpejta dhe praktike do të përshkruanin më së miri detyrat e tij të përditshme; por zakonisht ai duhet të përballet edhe me burokracinë administrative, shkresat e shumta, lejet për ndërtim dhe bashkëpunimin institucional.

Toestand is an organisation which focuses on the socio-cultural reactivation of vacant spaces in the city. Free (as in free speech, but also as in free coffee) space is scarce, especially in the city. On the other hand, many sites and buildings are abandoned for reasons such as speculation or government administration issues. Toestand reconciles these two issues by communicating on the issue, facilitating the installation of temporary socio-cultural centres, and organising them ourselves under the term ‘Spontaneous Action Zones’. The organisation Toestand organised and organises projects mainly for and by young people. Though our target group is large (people and their friends), our focus is on youngsters. They experience even more than adults the lack of a space in which they can express themselves freely. As an organisation build up by young people itself, we have been frustrated by this time and again, and want to offer an experience to current generations.

Toestand është një organizatë e cila fokusohet në riaktivizimin socio-kulturor të hapësirave të lira në qytet. Hapësira e lirë (si në fjalë e lirë, por edhe si në kafe e lirë) është e pakët, sidomos në qytet. Nga ana tjetër, shumë vende dhe ndërtesa janë braktisur për shkaqe të tilla si çështjet administrative, spekulative apo qeveritare. Toestand pajton këto dy çështje duke komunikuar për këtë çështje, duke lehtësuar instalimin e qendrave të përkohshme social-kulturore, si dhe duke i organizuar nën termin “Zonat e Veprimit Spontan”. Organizata Toestand ka organizuar dhe vazhdon të organizojë projekte kryesisht për të rinjtë dhe nga të rinjtë. Edhe pse grupi i tyre i synuar është i madh (njerëzit dhe miqtë e tyre), fokusi i tyre është në të rinjtë. Ata përjetojnë më shumë se të rriturit mungesën e hapësirës në [FC1] të cilën ata mund të shprehen lirisht. Si një organizatë e ndërtuar nga vet të rinjtë, të cilët kanë qenë të frustruar nga kjo kohë por që prapë se prapë duan t’i ofrojnë një përvojë gjeneratave të tanishme.
‘Toestand Mache Prishtina’ është një projekt bashkëpunues mes Toestand vzw (Belgjikë), InfoQuartier Mache (Zvicër) dhe Fondacionit Kosovar të Arkitekturës – Java e Arkitekturës në Prishtinë (Kosovë).
Edhe pse Kosova ende përballet me shumë probleme, Prishtina (dhe pjesa tjetër e vendit) ka shumë iniciativa kulturore, kolektive, ngjarje, artistë dhe individë të angazhuar. Por ka një mungesë të hapësirës ku këta individë, shpesh të rinjtë, mund të bashkohen për eksperimente, punë, shkëmbim të njohurive dhe organizim të aktiviteteve. Hulumtimi, nga ana tjetër, tregon se qyteti ka plot hapësira boshe dhe të braktisura. Ky projekt ka për qëllim të tregojë dhe zbatojë zgjidhjen alternative për këtë çështje. Toestand Mache Prishtina dëshiron të tregojë potencialin e madh të revitalizimit të ndërtesave të zbrazëta dhe të braktisura dhe dëshiron për të fuqizuar të rinjtë në Prishtinë që të ri-mendojnë veten e tyre dhe potencialin e qytetit të tyre.
Esen Gökçe Özdamar is Assistant Professor, founder and Head of Department of Architecture at Namik Kemal University, Tekirdağ. She received her Masters degree (MSc) and PhD both from Architectural Design programme in Istanbul Technical University in 2003 and 2011. Her PhD focused on an experimental approach to transdisciplinary methodology through re-reading housing areas in İstanbul, Vienna and Amsterdam. She was a guest researcher in Delft University of Technology in 2007.
Since her graduation she has worked in several architectural offices varying from large scale housing complex to public building, interior design and has attended various international competitions and art exhibitions. Her current research focuses on transdisciplinary methodology, contemporary housing, kinesthetic perception and haptic space.
Some of her latest publications are “Unemployed in Summer: Pamphlets From the Waterfront” in Visual Communication (2016) and “Rooftop Architecture in İstanbul” in Lo Squaderno (2015).

Esen Gökçe Özdamar është Asistent Profesoreshë, themeluese, si dhe udhëheqëse e Departamentit të Arkitekturës së Universitetit Namik Kemal, Tekirdağ. Ajo e kreu masterin (MSc) dhe PhD në programin e Dizajnit Arkitektonik në Universitetin Teknik të Stambollit, në vitin 2003 dhe 2011. Tema e PhD-së së saj u fokusua në një qasje eksperimentale në metodologjinë transdisciplinare nëpër zonat e ri-lexuara të strehimit në Stamboll, Vjenë dhe Amsterdam. Ajo ishte hulumtuese mysafir në Universitetin e Teknologjisë në Delft në vitin 2007.
Që nga diplomimi i saj, ajo ka punuar në disa zyre të ndryshme të arkitekturës nga strehimet e ndërlikuara së shkallës së madhe në ndërtesa publike, dizajn të brendshëm, si dhe ka marrë pjesë në shumë konkurse ndërkombëtare dhe ekspozita të artit. Hulumtimi i saj i tanishëm fokusohet në metodologjinë transdisciplinare, strehimin bashkëkohor, perceptimin kinestetik dhe hapësirën haptike.
Disa nga botimet e saj të fundit janë Unemployed in Summer: Pamphlets From the Waterfront (E papunë në verë: Pamflete Buzë Ujit), Visual Communication (2016) dhe Rooftop Architecture in Istanbul (Arkitektura e Kulmit në Stamboll), Lo Squaderno (2015).
The dotlinearchitects is an open minded, young community, based in Barcelona, Budapest and Zürich. Our main focus fields are research, architecture and development on a local scale, while we continuously collaborate with partners on a global level. Co-design, co-production and sharing are key elements of our work. The “Architecture for Refugees” project was initiated by Zsófia Glatz and Bence Komlósi.
Zsófia Glatz, born 1982, graduated at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BUTE) in 2007. After graduation she started the DLA (Doctor of Liberal Arts) School at BUTE. Her research topic is “Social Housing in Hungary – Personal Presence”. In 2010 she won a doctoral scholarship to the ETH Zürich. Her supervisor was Prof. Ákos Moravánszky. In addition she took part in the first semester of MAS Housing Wohnforum.
Bence Komlósi, born 1982, graduated at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BUTE) in 2009. In 2013 he received his MAS in Housing at the ETH Zürich Wohnforum. His research title was “Living Democracy – Bottom-Up Initiatives for Sustainable Housing Developments in Budapest – Housing Co-operatives as Potential Tools”.

Dotlinearchitects është një qendër mendje hapur në Barcelonë, Budapest dhe Zürich. Kryesisht fokusohet në fushën e hulumtimit, arkitekturës dhe zhvillimit lokal, ndërkohë vazhdimisht bashkëpunon me partnerët global. Zsófia Glatz, e lindur në vitin 1982, diplomoi në Universitetin e Budapestit të Teknologjisë dhe Ekonomisë (BUTE) në vitin 2007. Pas diplomimit ajo filloi Shkollën DLA (Doktorati i Arteve Liberale) në BUTE. Tema saj për hulumtim ishte “Banimi social në Hungari – Prania Personal”. Në vitin 2010 ajo fitoi një bursë për doktoraturë në ETH Zürich. Mbikqyrësi i saj ishte Prof. Ákos Moravánszky. Përveç kësaj ajo mori pjesë në semestrin e parë të programit MAS per Banim Social ne Wohnforum.
Bence Komlósi, i lindur në vitin 1982, diplomoi në Universitetin e Budapestit të Teknologjisë dhe Ekonomisë (BUTE) në vitin 2009. Në vitin 2013 ai fitoi programin MAS për Banim Social në ETH Zürich Wohnforum. Tema e tij hulumtuese ishte “Të jetuarit e Demokracisë – Iniciativat për Zhvillimin e Banimit Social të Qëndrueshëm në Budapest – Strehimi Kooperativ si Mjet Potencial”.
He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb in 1980, where he worked until 1984 as the associate assistant. He has been working as a free-lance architect and the head of his own atelier Rusan arhitektura since 1986.
He participated at iba (Internationale Bauaustellung) in Berlin in 1987 as the author of the exhibition Zagreb, ah Zagreb. He is the author of the exhibition Oris Outline of Ideas. He is one of the authors of the exhibition Continuity of Modernity – Fragments of Croatian Architecture from Modernism to 2010. Together with Vedran Mimica and Maroje Mrduljaš he is the author of the book Contemporary Croatian Architecture – Testing Reality.
During the 80s and the 90s he was the member of editorial boards of magazines published by Croatian Association of Architects: Čovjek i prostor (Man and space) and Arhitektura (Architecture).
Since 1998 he has been the publisher and editor of the magazine Oris. For scientific-research, critical and theoretical as well as for journalistic work in the field of architecture Oris was twice the recipient of the Neven ŠegvićAward of the Croatian Association of Architects.
Andrija Rusan was the recipient of the Drago Galić Award of the Croatian Association of Architects for the best residential architecture in 1997, of the Dedalo Minose Prize for the Lumenart office building in Pula in 2007. In 2006 he was appointed the Croatian commissioner for the 10th International Architecture Exhibition, Biennale of Venice.
Parallel to his activities as publisher and creator of exhibitions he has also designed and realized a number of interiors, family houses and commercial buildings.
His work appears in the Phaidon Atlas of 21st World Architecture, Atlas Global Architecture circa 2000 (Fundación bbva) and in the book Nano Materialien (Birkhäuser) by Sylvia Leydecker.
His architectural works are published in numerous books and magazines in Croatia and abroad. Also, he has held number of lectures about his work and the activities of oris – House of Architecture association.

Andrija Rusan ka lindur në Zagreb në vitin 1957. Diplomoi nga Fakulteti i Arkitekturës në Zagreb në vitin 1980 ku edhe punoi deri në vitin 1984 si asistent i asociuar. Ai ka punuar si arkitekt i pavarur dhe si udhëheqës i ateliesë së tij atelier Rusan arhitektura që nga viti 1986.
Ai mori pjesë në IBA (Internationale Bauaustellung) në Berlin në vitin 1987 si autori i ekspozitës “Zagreb, ah Zagreb”. Është autori i ekspozitës “Oris Korniza e Ideve” dhe një nga autorët e ekspozitës “Vazhdimësia e modernitetit – Fragmente të Arkitekturës Kroate nga modernizmi në vitin 2010”. Së bashku me Vedran Mimica dhe Maroje Mrduljas shkruan librin për arkitekturën bashkëkohore kroate – “Testim i Realitetit”.
Gjatë viteve të 80-ta dhe të 90-ta ishte anëtar i bordeve editoriale të revistave të botuara nga Shoqata Kroate e Arkitektëve: “Covjek i prostor” (Njeriu dhe hapësira) dhe “Arkitektura”. Që nga viti 1998 ështe botues dhe redaktor i revistës ORIS. Për hulumtime shkencore, punë kritike dhe teorike si dhe për gazetari në fushën e arkitekturës revista ORIS ishte dy herë fitues i Çmimit Šegvić Neven të Shoqatës Kroate të Arkitektës.
Andrija Rusan morri Çmimin Galic Drago të Shoqatës Kroate të Arkitektëve për arkitekturën më të mirë për banim në vitin 1997, Çmimin Minose DEDALO për ndërtimin e zyrës Lumenart në Pula, në vitin 2007. Në vitin 2006 ai u emërua komisioneri kroat për Ekspozitën Internacionale të Arkitekturës në Bienalen e 10 të Venedikut.
Paralel me aktivitetet e tij si botues dhe kurator i ekspozitave, ai gjithashtu ka projektuar e realizuar edhe një numër të madh të enteriereve, shtëpive familjare dhe ndërtesave tregtare. Puna e tij u shfaq në Atlasin PHAIDON të Arkitekturës Botërore të shekullit 21, Atlas Global Architecture, në vitin 2000 (Fundación BBVA) dhe në librin Nano Materialien (Birkhäuser) nga Sylvia Leydecker.
Veprat e tij arkitektonike janë botuar në libra dhe revista të shumta në Kroaci dhe jashtë vendit. Gjithashtu, ai ka mbajtur disa ligjërata rreth punës së tij dhe aktivitete në oris – House of Architecture association.
