LINA Community

The Kosovo Architecture Foundation is one of the founding members of the biggest pan-european architecture network LINA community, previously known as Future Architecture Platform.

The European platform LINA is a network connecting relevant institutions with emerging practitioners and thinkers who work at the intersection of architecture and other fields related to spatial culture: it aims to promote up-and-coming talent. LINA’s goal is to steer design and building processes towards regenerative practices and principles of de-growth in line with the values of the European Green Deal.

LINA COMMUNITY In summer 2015, 14 European architectural institutions from 13 different countries came together to launch the Future Architecture Platform. The goal of this association is to bring the innovations, experiments and ideas of a new generation of architects and planners up for discussion and to network these internationally. For this purpose, the platform itself provides digital communication channels, which are additionally enhanced by each individual member. By means of workshops, exhibitions, conferences, lectures and books, complex issues regarding how the living environment is to be shaped in the future are discussed at the platform’s individual institutions all throughout Europe.

LINA MEMBERS | A growing alliance of museums, universities, research networks, foundations, triennials, biennials, and other European and Mediterranean organisations—LINA members—carries out a series of events taking place all over Europe. The LINA Architecture Programme is supported by the European Union within the eligible countries of the Creative Europe Programme.

GENERAL ASSEMBLY | Representatives of the LINA members form the General Assembly, which meets twice a year to discuss the trajectory of the platform. They cast votes to select the 25 projects, whose authors become LINA fellows, and confirm the Governing Board.

The Future Architecture platform is a well-balanced ecosystem of European cultural players in architecture who perform specific roles within a complex European architecture program. It connects multi-disciplinary emerging talents to high profile institutions like museums, galleries, publishing houses, biennials, and festivals. It provides talented conceptual thinkers and practitioners in architecture with opportunities to speak up – and be seen and heard.

The Future Architecture Platform is the biggest pan-European architecture & design platform with 28 biggest architecture events and institutions from 23 countries of the continent as their members.  Kosovo Architecture Foundation is one of the founding members of the platform and our director Bekim Ramku serves as the board member of the platform since its beginning.
