Docomomo_Kosovo national working party will be organizing a documentation workshop in major Kosovo cities during the months of August, September and October 2017. The “Documenting Modern Kosovo” workshop, which will be organized in the cities of Prishtina, Gjakova, Peja, Mitrovica, Ferizaj and Prizren, aims to document a set of buildings belonging to the Modern Movement in Kosovo.
The documentation workshop, which will use the Docomomo documentation fiche’s will serve as a base for the inventory of Modernism in Kosovo as well for the Docomomo “MoMove” Virtual Exhibition.
Docomomo is the international working party for the Documentation of buildings, sites and neighborhoods of the Modern Movement. The organization which was initiated in 1988 by Hubert-Jan Henket, at the School of Architecture at the Technical University in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, is the most significant organization of experts devoted to the history, preservation and reassessment of modern architecture.
At present Docomomo International includes 69 chapters and more than 3000 members throughout the world. Docomomo Kosovo which was established mid 2016, is the newest chapter of Docomomo International.
All interested should send a short email to media@prishtinaarchitectureweek.com by August the 10th stating their interest in the workshop as well as their contact information’s together with the city where they would like to participate. Apart from the documentation workshop the participants will learn more on Docomomo’s mission, its important work in the past decades and how can one contribute and become part of it.

Dega kombëtare e Docomomo_Kosova do organizoj puntori dokumentuese në qytetet kryesore të Kosoves gjat muajve Gusht, Shtator dhe Tetor 2017. Puntoria “Documenting Modern Kosovo”, e cila do organizohet në qytetet e Prishtinës, Gjakovës, Pejës, Mitrovicës, Ferizajit dhe Prizrenit, ka për qëllim dokumentimin e një numër të caktuar të objekteve moderne në Kosovë.
Puntoria dokumentuses që do përdor udhëzuesit dokumentues nga Docomomo do shërbej si bazë e inventarizimit të Modernizmit në Kosovë si dhe për ekspozitën vituale të Docomomo’s “MoMove”.
Docomomo International është një nismë ndërkombëtare për për Dokumentimin e objekteve, sajteve dhe lagjeve që i përkasin lëvizjës Moderne. Kjo organizatë e cila është themeluar në vitin 1988 nga Hubert-Jan Henket, në shkollën e arkitekturës pran Universitetit Teknik të Eindhovenit, është organizata në e rëndësishme botërore e përkushtuar për vlerësimin, konzervimin dhe interpretimin e arkitekturës moderne.
Për momentin Docomomo International ka 69 degë në mbar botën me mbi 3000 anëtar në mbar botën. Docomomo Kosova e cila u themelua vitin 2016, është dega më e re e organizatës.
